This water obstacle course is one of our most popular watersports and its easy to see why! The water park courses are giant inflatable water parks that can take 80 + participants at any one time. Each course as tons of different features including Slides, Trampolines, Climbing Walls, Balance Beams, Monkey Bars, jumping flatforms and Giant swings. Think Wipe out meets ninja warrior and you get a little idea of whats ahead of you.

Each session last 50 - 60mins including a safety brief to begin with. We have between 4 & 8 team members dotted around the park and paddling around the course on stand up paddle boards at all times during the session so you have eyes on you at all times. You will be required to swim out to the course to begin with so the fun in the water starts imeediately. Dont worry you were never going to stay dry anyway!! The obstacles are designed to get you in the water so get ready to, slip, slide and have fun all afternoon.

This ones super tiring guys, you are guaranteed to sleep well after!

Our outdoor kid's soft play area is ideal for children and kids as young as 6 are welcome. Ages  6-11 must have an accompanying adult go on with them. From 11 and up they are fully supervised on the park by our Team.

Mallow Vs Coachford Water Parks

We have two courses in two different locations so please make sure to check carefully to ensure you book into the right park. Both courses are equal in size but have different layouts with different obstacles. If its your first time you are going to get the same experience in either location. We have designed the parks so that you will have an amazing time on a similar sized park no matter which you choose. But there is enough variation that you will want to come back again and try out the oppisite course. That way you can make up your own mind! Which do you think is better?

** Mallow: there is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the main carpark and 10 - 15 minute walk from the overflow carpark. Please factor this into your planning when choosing a location.

Ballyhass AquaPark is a physical and strenuous outdoor activity, that requires strength, stamina and fitness. People with heart or health problems, pre existing injuries, especially knees, shoulders, ankles, back and neck are advised not to use the Aquapark.

  • It is mandatory for all participants to wear buoyancy aids at all times. Please ensure that your vest fits correctly and that the safety straps are tightened.
  • Never under any circumstances swim under the obstacles. Always go over the top of the features.
  • Never dive head first into the water of any obstacle. You must always enter the water feet first.
  • Always look up when climbing. Do not climb underneath anyone else climbing. People can slip and fall while on the features.
  • Make sure the water area and landing are clear of people before jumping or sliding into the water.
  • The correct sliding position on the obstacles is have your arms crossed across your chest with your feet and legs together

Do I need to pre-book before we arrive?

The short answer is Yes. We will not reserve places for anyone without full payment. The easiest way to do this is to book online here. For each booking you will need to fill out a waiver form for each participant online. If you turn up on the day and there are spaces available you can sign in at the park but consent forms still must be signed. No spaces will be reserved without online booking and payment in advance.

Can I book a group online?

Yes, you can book up to 24 places online at anyone time. If they are U18 an adult can sign a consent form on their behalf straight after you make the booking. If it is an adult group, each participant will need to sign an individual consent form. The organizer can enter everyone's email to notify them or they can direct to the website with the booking confirmation number.

How long before my session should I arrive?

Please arrive 10 mins before your session time. Taking the example of the 12.00 session we aim to have you checked-in by 12 and on the water for 12.30. In that half an hour you will need to walk down to the park, change into your wetsuit and get your safety briefing.  If anyone misses the safety briefing they will not be granted entry to the session. We will do our best to get you on another session that day but if we are full unfortunately there is nothing we can do. All bookings are nonrefundable. Be aware also that we are in a rural location and unfortunately due to planning reasons signage isn't great. Allow time for wrong turns and make sure you study the map well before departing.

What if I am stuck in traffic / get lost?

We will do our best to get you on another session that day if you arrive late. However, if we are full there is, unfortunately, nothing we can do. Please make sure and allow plenty of time for your journey. There is a lovely cafe on site so come early, grab a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere while the excitement builds.

Do I have to be part of a group to come?

No. You are more than welcome to book onto any of our open sessions online. There can be up to 50 people in the park at the same time and our lifeguards recommend areas for adults and U18s at various times during the sessions.

Do I have to be able to swim?

Yes. To gain access to the Aquapark you must swim out to it. You are likely to go underwater off the bigger features and so being able to swim 25 - 50m in a buoyancy aid with a strong confidence in the water is a must.

Do I have to be physically fit?

Yes. It can be tough to pull yourself out of the water. How much energy you use is up to you but is a very physically active sport.

Do we have to wear wetsuits?

Unlike other aquaparks, we have included wetsuits in our admission price. We would highly recommend you take advantage of them. The water is beautiful looking but we are still in Ireland so why not be more comfortable and warm which will make the experience all the better.

Can I Participate if I am Pregnant?

We strongly advise you not to participate if you are pregnant.

Can I wear shoes?

No. Wetsuit booties and water shoes are acceptable but no hard-soled shoes are allowed. Bare feet are generally the best way to go.

Can I wear glasses in the park?

We strongly recommend you don't wear them to the park. There is a high risk of losing them or getting them damaged. Contact lenses or prescription glasses are the best alternatives.

What do I need to bring?

You will need swimwear and a towel. If you have your own wetsuit or wetsuit booties, wet shoes you are more than welcome to bring them but wetsuits are included as part of the entry fee.

Are there changing rooms & showers?

There are basic changing rooms but no showers. The water at the Mallow lake is super clean spring-fed freshwater. In Coachford it is the Cork City Reservoir so There is no real need for showers afterwards.

Are there lockers for our valuables?

No. We would advise that you lock any valuables in your car. There are small cubby holes in the Aquapark office that our park manager can store your car keys in. The changing rooms will not be locked during sessions so please make sure not to bring your valuables.

Do I have to remove my jewellery before entering the park?

Yes. You are not allowed to wear any jewellery while in the park. There is a good chance it could be lost or do harm to yourself or the other participants.

Can I bring cameras into the aquapark?

You can wear a chest-mounted GoPro only. All other loose cameras could be a danger for the rest of the participants. Any equipment is brought on to the park at your own risk. If a GoPro falls in it will not be able to be recovered.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, there is plenty of car parking at the activity centre end of the site and overflow parking close to the self-catering accommodation on the busier days. A very important note is that these car parks are a 10-minute walk away from the Ballyhass Mallow reception area. It is vitally important that you use the bathroom facilities and make sure you have everything you need before you start walking down to the Aqua Park.

Do adults have to accompany children?

Yes, any individual bookings for children U12 must be accompanied by an adult at the ratio of 1  Adult : 4 Children. For Schools and youth groups we increase our staff ratio on the park so this doesn't necessarily have to comply. When booking for a large group of youths please call the activity centre on 022 27773.

Can I leave before the hour is up?

Yes, you can leave before the hour is up. You must inform a lifeguard if you are leaving. Once you leave you will not be able to get back on to that particular session.

Is it fun for Adults and Children?

Absolutely. It's perfectly suitable for hens, stags, senior sports teams and groups of friends as it is for birthday parties and fun days out. There are elements that adults will find challenging and vice versa for children.

I want to book out the park solely for my group, is this possible?

Yes. You have a private hire rate of €600 per session. You get the whole aquapark to yourself. This needs to book a minimum of two weeks in advance and does not apply to peak times. This does not apply to youth groups under 12 years of age as these need adult supervision in the park.

Is it possible to watch from the shore and do I have to pay?

Yes, and it's absolutely free. Their spectators area and location is what sets our park ahead of the pack. A natural amphitheatre of rock surrounds the old quarry lake. Sit down on the tiered seating and take in the stadium effect.

Can I have a picnic beside the Aquapark?

No. Due to the large volume of people coming through from one session to the next, we encourage people to move back up to the activity centre when their session is finished. There are picnic areas and family benches up there alongside our brand new on-site cafe. Come chill out, grab a coffee and enjoy the great outdoors.

Can I reserve a BBQ?

No. We have a full Lets Cafe take away restuarant on site and plenty of picnic benches and pods for you to enjoy the delcious food.

Can I book on for multiple bookings on one day?

You are more than welcome to book, but beware that it is very physically demanding and 1 session is more than enough for most people. There is always tomorrow!! Please let our staff know on arrival that you have booked in for multiple sessions.

Are there any group discounts?

No. We believe that we are offering a great product at a great price. If you would like to book out the whole park we can offer some good rates for your group at off-peak times. We also have great offers that happen each month.

Can I cancel my booking?

All bookings require full payment and are non-refundable. If you would like to cancel 7 days before your booking we will put credit back on your account so you can book into another session. We are unable to refund any payments. If you are within 7 days no credit can be given.
